This

Ask
the question... What
will happen when my pet dies?
1.
BEFORE
you require such a service - locate your nearest Pet
Crematorium. Your area Environment Agency are able to
supply a list of all Licenced Premises.
2.
Never leave your Pet with a Veterinary Practice unless
you know where they will send them - and that you agree.
3.
It is your right to be allowed to take your Pet home
or direct to a Cemetery or Crematorium of your choice.
This is perfectly legal provided the body is disposed
of within the legislation.
4.
Make sure you are able to visit the Pet Crematorium
of your choice. BEWARE of premises
who do not welcome visitors.
5.
All Pet Crematoria must
hold a Carriers Licence in accordance
with the current legislation if they wish to carry out
collections from either your home or veterinary surgery.
In addition a Site Licence/Authorisation
is required for each site and issued by the *Regional
Environment Agency/*Local Authority (*dependant upon
site capacity).
6.
Check that ALL pet cremation is carried
out at the Crematorium or premises where your Pet has
been sent - BEWARE of premises who
send pets to other sites without your knowledge.
7.
Ask your friends and neighbours of their experiences
and recommendations.
8.
Make sure you understand what you are being offered
and that you agree the cost of all services.
9.
Look for the NFPPC logo.
